On the eve of the 45th anniversary of the first Ticino expedition to Pumori, a group of hikers led by Romolo Nottaris returns to Nepal and retraces the trails they trekked in the late 1970s, starting from lower Nepal and reaching the slopes of Pumori and Everest. Through images taken during the two expeditions, we retrace the ascent of the pioneering expedition of the last century and that of those who, despite not reaching the summit, experienced it last spring, in a territory profoundly transformed from an activity originally reserved for the few, now a tourist attraction. Led by Carla Norghauer, the special evening allows us to relive and compare the expectations, sensations, emotions, and experiences of mountain enthusiasts past and present.
