SERIKALI YAKABIDHI MITAJI KWA VIJANA 47 WA BBT- UVUVI KAGERA

The government will continue to empower young people economically through the Fisheries Sector to address the employment challenge in the country. The representative of the Kagera Regional Commissioner, Hon. Erasto Sima, who is the Bukoba District Commissioner, said this on May 9, 2026 at a ceremony to hand over capital in the form of soft loans to 47 young people who benefited from the Jenga Kesho Ilyobora (BBT-Fisheries) Program held at Bilolo Kemondo Bukoba. In addition, Hon. Sima said that the event is a continuation of the capital distribution launched on March 7, 2026 in the FETA Nyegezi area in Mwanza region, where 55 young people were handed over various inputs for fish farming in cages. Hon. Sima has urged the beneficiaries to use the opportunities given to them with responsibility, discipline and integrity to ensure that the projects bring positive results for them personally and the Nation as a whole. Some of the young people who benefited from the project have thanked President Samia for the way he carried out the agenda of uplifting the youth and ensuring they have an economy that will enable them to be independent intellectually.
