Cutting the original piece out of a silicone mold.

Freeing the original piece from the silicone/rubber mold is a fairly difficult skill (if done well) This was my first attempt in decades and I am very rusty, but at least there was no blood 🩸😅 Carefully cutting with planning and forethought is very important to make a good prodution mold which will last. Im not planning any mass production, just a few Sterling Silver buckles for me, family and a few friends. (I will probably take a mulligan on this one, in which I definitely relearned some forgotten knowledge) Creating nice random interlocking parts, a path for the wax to release without breaking it and proper vents to allow the hot injected wax to take the place of the air in the mold.
