Some of the most significant contexts discovered in 2025–2026 Ponso (PD) – The Sanctuary of Bresega: from the Ancient Veneti to Romanization / Carla Pirazzini, SABAP PD-TV-BL Saturday morning presents archaeology in its making, through the firsthand account of fieldwork and the relationships it builds between territories, institutions, and communities. The "Great Discoveries" session focuses on the work of the Superintendencies, presenting some of the most significant archaeological contexts that have emerged in the two-year period 2025–2026: from the Venetian-Roman sanctuary of Ponso (Padua) to the Claterna theater in Ozzano dell'Emilia (Bologna), from the Basilica of Vitruvius in Fano (Pesaro-Urbino), to recent discoveries in Rome, including the Ostiense Necropolis and the domus beneath the Liceo Cavour, to the excavation of the Temple of Hera in Cumae (Naples) and the domus de janas necropolis of Bonorva (Sassari). This is an opportunity to learn not only about research findings, but also about the processes, methods, and challenges that accompany each new discovery.
