Two months ago, my friend Julian Alvarez approached me at a party and said, “I’ve got 13 minutes of film and I want to shoot a video of you. Are you in?” And if you’ve been lucky enough to see his work, you’ll understand why I immediately said yes. Our friend, Brenna Leaver, joined and painted a breathtaking backdrop for the video, and Dalton Harts, one of the most talented musicians I know, hopped on the mix. Truly the dream team. If you’ve been around for a while, you might remember this song from 2022. Since then, it’s come to mean many different things to me. I cling to these words during times of climate anxiety, war, and now, existential threats of unregulated AI. I’ve felt this song mean things to you, too. This recording is for every person who has approached me after a show to say it gave them a moment of solace.
