MAY DIARY : The Rose Meadow, Planting tree saplings, Eucalyptus for cutting & Polytunnel banished!
It's an exciting time of year in Bunny's garden as the new rose meadow starts to take shape. The Eremurus robustus or foxtail liles are looking great, the alliums are about to burst and the Pictorial Meadow seeds have finally germinated. Bunny guides us through the meadow planting and shows how she has added structure with topiary. And a new bench from Ebay! Elsewhere Bunny explains why she has decided to remove her polytunnel and shows us her new outdoor growing area in it's place. As yet she's undecided whether to leave it open or experiment with a prototype domestic ETFE greenhouse. And Bunny shows us her latest addition - six very different Eucalyptus trees that she's growing for cut foliage. She picks out her favourite three and explains exactly how she will grow and harvest them. She also talks about multistem Eucalpytus trees. The varieties she's chosen are: E. perriniana E. rubida E. parvula E. nicholii E. camphora E. coccifera #tree #gardening #roses
