In response, the former Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Susno Duadji, responded. He considered the transfer of the case to be unusual. Susno Duadji conveyed this to the Tribun Video team in a written statement on Monday (July 13, 2026). According to Susno, the transfer of investigations from the National Police to the Attorney General's Office is not recognized in Indonesian criminal procedure law. He emphasized that the transfer of investigations has no legal basis. "The National Police transferred FA's case to the Prosecutor's Office; it's strange. It's not recognized in Indonesian criminal procedure law," said Susno in a written statement. The former Chief of Criminal Investigation also considered it reasonable to raise concerns after the former Jampidsus case was transferred to the Attorney General's Office. He said Febrie Adriansyah comes from the same institution, potentially raising perceptions about the independence of the case handling process. Susno also highlighted that Febrie will be questioned by investigators who were his subordinates when he was still serving as Jampidsus. "Yes, it's natural to have concerns because FA comes from the same institution. Aren't the ones who will investigate him his subordinates when he served as Jampidsus?" Susno said in a written statement. On the other hand, the National Police stated that the transfer of this case was the result of an agreement with the Attorney General's Office.
