Lord Set A Watch On My Mouth

Lord, Set a Watch Over My Mouth In this opening session of the Speak Life series, we begin with prayer, consecration, and surrender. Before we ask God to change what we say, we ask Him to search the place our words have been coming from. Our words are not empty. They reveal what is happening within us, shape what is happening around us, and show us what we have been agreeing with. Anchored in Psalm 141:3 — “Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips” — this session invites us to bring our hearts, thoughts, speech, and lives before God. We pray for God to search our hearts, reveal what our words have been exposing, heal what has been speaking through us, break careless and hopeless speech, teach us to pause, and help us speak life in agreement with His truth. This month is not only about changing what we say. It is about allowing God to change the place our words come from.
