Restoring The Real James Bond's Omega Watch 59-8D

Tim's Book: https://www.penguin.co.uk/authors/208... See the watches I make: https://www.majorwatches.co.uk/seawolf This time I restore an Omega watch 59-8D that belonged to a real British Spy who was good friends with Ian Fleming the creator of the fictional British Spy James Bond. The name of the intelligence officer who owned this watch was Commander Wilfred 'Biffy' Dunderdale and he is the subject of a new book by Tim Spicer. This Omega watch 59.8D movement was created in 1937 and is of very high quality but it had several serious issues that needed fixing and had not been serviced for decades. During this film I let Colonel Tim Spicer do most of the talking and I hope you will enjoy listening to the quite incredible exploits of the man that many think was a major inspiration to Fleming in the creation of his character James Bond.
