What Happened 2976 Years Ago ? Amazigh Yennayer
Yennayer, also known as the Amazigh New Year, is the first day of the Amazigh calendar. This calendar is based on the agricultural cycles and is used primarily by the Berber people of North Africa. The Amazigh calendar is a lunar calendar, with 12 months of 29 or 30 days. Yennayer marks the beginning of the agricultural year and is a time for family gatherings, feasts, and celebrations. It's worth noting that the celebration of Yennayer varies depending on the region and community, and different rituals and customs are followed. Some people slaughter animals and prepare special meals, while others light fires and perform traditional dances. ----------------------- Support LearnTharifith!
