Finally Built My Own DIY Skatepark
Now I just have to learn how to skate it. This has been an evolving process, learning what size ramps I need and can skate on and grow into. It's not done, but I've got several obstacles etc. to practice slappy grinds, stalls, slides, and so on. I'm really looking forward to improving without dying. :-) The Old Man ABOUT ME: I'm 52 and I started skating a year ago for the first time since I was 15. I'm getting back on the board--boards, technically. I'm an English professor by trade, but I'm also a serial hobbyist who always wants to learn something new or get back into things I did as a kid. I restore old Volkswagens, I have a black belt in Kung Fu San Soo, I build and play electric guitars, and ... and ....
