In this video we will learn one of the conjugations of the Japanese verbs and that is the potential form of the verb. We use the potential form of the verb to say that someone "can" or "has the ability to" do something, or that is something is possible. Ru- and u-verbs have their different rules on conjugation. For additional information, in English can and cannot is translated to was/were able and wasn't/weren't able to, respectively.
