Looking back, I've invited girls over saying, "Let's have a hotpot party," only to have no hotpot party. "Let's have a takoyaki party," but then we didn't have takoyaki. This has happened before, but no one has complained. The bottom line is that having fun is the goal, and hotpot and takoyaki are just a means to an end. As long as we have fun, it's a win-win.
