Bristol Electric Railbus - Trials in 1997
The Bristol Electric Railbus was trialed on the Bristol Harbour Railway in the hope that this novel form of transport would develop a network in Bristol. Seen before platforms and charging points were installed the concept was that an underfloor flywheel would be topped up at each termini and energy could be recovered during braking.
