La Colonia Santa Lucía, Ilopango

In this video, I invite you to join me on a personal journey through those streets that IVU designed with dreams of modernity in the 1960s, starting from Circunvalación Street to reconnect with the echo of my high school years. We'll walk together along 5th Street, searching for the aroma of that famous barley water that refreshed our souls after a game on the court or an afternoon at the gym, and we'll stop in front of our parish church, a silent witness to so many generations. It's a bittersweet journey where we reminisce about the old Cine Renovación, now a supermarket, and end at the iconic Triángulo, that spot that suffers through the winters but remains the umbilical cord connecting us to Bulevar del Ejército. If you were ever a student at its high school, if you lived in its perfectly laid-out alleyways, or if you simply miss the essence of the neighborhood where you grew up, this video is for you; because even though the buildings may change names, our history is forever etched in every corner of Santa Lucía.
