Interview with the late Gen. Jannie Geldenhuys: The South African Defence Force (SADF) clashed with communist backed forces in a conflict that spanned over two decades. The Angolan Border War, fought from 1966 to 1989, was a defining chapter in South Africa's military history. To gain insight into the SADF's strength during this tumultuous period, I spoke to the late General Jannie Geldenhuys who was Chief of the SADF from 1985 to 1990.
