The Harlequin (Part 1-16)

🎭 THE HARLEQUIN – A Progressive Rock Opera 🎭 Presented by SoftlyUnsaidEcho Dive deep into a melancholic, hand-painted 1971 progressive rock fairytale. This conceptual epic tells the tragic story of Julian, a lonely boy at the wind-swept French coast of Saint-Valéry, who discovers a mysterious antique chest containing a red and yellow porcelain mask and a silver-plated flute. Upon putting the mask on, Julian becomes possessed by the spirit of the manic, mesmerizing Harlequin. As the town's gentry is slowly transformed into wooden puppets, Julian's soul battles the majestic, dark willpower of the Harlequin. The story culminates in a dramatic, burning inferno of the Victorian carousel where it all began, leading to a peaceful, redemptive silence. Musically inspired by the gold-standard era of early Genesis (Peter Gabriel/Steve Hackett), Pink Floyd ("Echoes" era), and the symphonic warmth of Mellotron-driven rock, this opera balances breathtaking pastoral beauty with deep, emotional melodies, rich vintage keyboards, and virtuosic classical flute duets. 🎨 VISUAL ARTWORK & ANIMATION: The album artwork and animations are inspired by the iconic, surreal 1970s paintings of Paul Whitehead (famous for early Genesis covers) and the rich textures of vintage watercolor and oil paintings. ✨ If you love Mellotrons, classical flutes, warm 12-string acoustic guitars, and the conceptual depth of classic 1970s progressive rock, please subscribe, leave a like, and tell us your favorite chapter in the comments! #ProgressiveRock #SymphonicRock #EarlyGenesis #ConceptAlbum #Mellotron #FluteProg #ClassicRock1971 #VinylArt #TheHarlequin #SoftlyUnsaidEcho
