This time, our focus is on Yotsuya. Home to the Akasaka Palace State Guest House and Sophia University, Yotsuya is often associated with a fashionable image, but did you know it actually has quite a fascinating history? The Samegawa River once flowed here, and a bridge called Samegawabashi was built over it. Eventually, the area became known as Yotsuya Samegabashi Bridge, one of Tokyo's three largest slums.
