🚐🎣 Fishing the Amblève & Semois in Belgium | Bonkers Vanlife Adventures 🐾

We’re back on the road for another Bonkers Vanlife adventure, and this time we’re exploring some of Belgium’s most beautiful fishing locations! Our journey starts in Bouillon, where we buy our Belgian fishing permit (permis de pêche) before heading to the stunning Semois River. We couldn’t wait to cast our lines and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, but we quickly discovered that our favourite camper stop wasn’t quite the same as we remembered. One of the best things about vanlife is meeting amazing people along the way. We met a lovely Dutch couple, and after chatting for a while, we decided to continue our adventure together. 🍟 After an amazing day of fishing, we fired up our 2-burner Coleman stove and cooked fresh fries for our vanlife friends. Moments like these are what vanlife is all about: good food, great company, and making unforgettable memories on the road. 🚐❤️🐾 Next stop: Stavelot, where we spent two wonderful nights fishing along the crystal-clear Amblève River. Beautiful scenery, relaxing fishing sessions, good company, and plenty of laughs made this one of the highlights of our trip. After that, we drove just a few kilometres to Coo, hoping to catch a few more fish at the reservoir. As always with Bonkers, things didn’t quite go according to plan! That’s what makes vanlife so special—every day brings a new adventure, unexpected moments, and memories we’ll never forget.
