August 2024 in La Veta, Colorado with my 2008 Arabian mare, Nisha, competing in the first day of 5 total ride days in a 50 mile endurance ride. Views of Spanish Peaks, "the wall," La Veta, and cattle ranches surrounding. A truly gorgeous ride on a tremendous day. GoPro footage. There are 12 hours allowed (with two mandatory 50 minute holds) to complete 50 miles. Horses must pass vet checks in order to continue riding, and must pass the final vet check at ride's completion in order for the mileage and placing to count.
