GTA3's Gloomy Atmosphere

GTA3 is a revolutionary, genre-defining game made by Rockstar North (DMA Design). GTA3 is not a horror game by any means but for some people GTA3's atmosphere is enigmatic, dream-like, dark, gloomy, grimy, intriguing, creepy even scary. Contrast to it's successor Vice City's sunny, shiny mood. It's not clear to say it was intentional or unintentional. It's "the" New York Shitty air. It's the police with unlimited permission. It's when racial tension peaked. It's Mafia, Yakuza, Triads, Cartel and more thrown in a city and overpowered by businessmen. GTA3 is often overshadowed by later entries, Vice City and San Andreas but it's atmosphere stayed unique in this trio of games. Enjoy it's atmosphere in this 17mins long video.
