Dr Shellie Morris AO & Arrkula Yinbayarra - Journey - AWMA 2025

Acclaimed Yanyuwa and Wardaman singer-songwriter Dr Shellie Morris AO has dedicated more than 25 years to using music as a tool for healing, language preservation and cultural storytelling. Together with Arrkula Yinbayarra, a collective of women from Borroloola who share and strengthen culture through song, she was honoured with the inaugural Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Cultural Legacy Award at the 2025 Australian Women in Music Awards.
