On this adventure, we headed straight to a pitahaya orchard, an exotic fruit known for its incredible color and flavor. From the very beginning, we wandered among the rows of plants, where we learned how pitahaya grows, how long it takes to bear fruit, and the special care it requires to develop in all its splendor. We had the opportunity to harvest two varieties of pitahaya: the white and the Mexican pink. Each with its own unique color, aroma, and spectacular appearance that seems straight out of another planet. And of course, we couldn't leave without trying them. The fresh, sweet, and slightly acidic flavor of freshly cut pitahaya is simply exquisite.
