August 2025 Obon Touring Trip. Departing from Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture, we took the expressway and exited at Shimonita IC into Nagano Prefecture. We raced through the Utsukushigahara Highlands and enjoyed the spectacular view from the Northern Alps Bridge in Matsumoto City. Afterwards, we toured the gassho-zukuri village in Shirakawa-go, Gifu Prefecture, then headed to the Sea of Japan via Toyama. The journey's climax was the “Chirihama Nagisa Driveway”. We drove the 400X along the sunset-drenched sandy beach, concluding our 3-night, 4-day trip. Temperatures ranged from around 20°C in the morning to nearly 30°C at noon.
