PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AND OBEDIENCE The responsibility was entirely on the parents. The blood had to be applied; the law did not allow the child to apply it themselves. CHILDREN CONCERNED 72 I can see a little boy as he looks out the window, and he runs back to his father, setting reading the Scroll, and saying, “Daddy, little Johnny Jones down the street, that I played with, he’s dead, his mother is in the street. And I looked, and the great wings of the killer is coming this way!” I can see the ol’ dad, just as calm, look at the son. And he said, “Daddy, I’m your firstborn, and our house is next. You don’t apply the Blood by talking about it, you apply the Blood by accepting it, and getting, on the lintel post of your own heart, then you are free. 74 The ol’ dad wasn’t scared, I can hear him say, “Son, just set down, let off the pressure. THE DANGERS OF PAUSES IN SPIRITUAL LIFE & GENERATIONAL IMPACT A pause in prayer = children grow without fire. A pause in Word-study = children grow without truth. A pause in consecration = children grow with Babylon’s culture.. A pause in testimony = children grow without witnesses of faith. A pause in discipline = children grow without boundaries. A pause in worship = children grow without reverence. A pause in obedience = children grow with partial commitment. A pause in vision = children grow without purpose.
