Making My Harlequin Festival Cape of Dreams 💜🩵💚 •• Sewing Vlog 🪡✂️📹

I have lusted after my fashion bestie, Anna's Harlequin-print cape for over 2 years now and finally got to make one for myself by refashioning 2 Rio carnival costume trousers that were saved from landfill by a project called Sustenta Carnaval 🤩♻️🪡 Anna bought her cape when we went to our first music festival together two years ago and it has been living rent-free in my mind ever since. We started a little tradition where we like to style twinning looks when we go to festivals together and decided that we would both create looks around her amazing cape. I'm so happy with the way mine turned out and can't wait to introduce it to the rest of my wardrobe 🤗👗💜💚🩵 In this sewing vlog, I take you along as I: 🪡 Draft the sewing pattern for the cape 🪡 Cut out the pattern pieces and sew a toile with the lining fabric 🪡 Do try-ons of the cape during the make 🪡 Make adjustments to the pattern to correct the fit 🪡 Choose a fancy closure (don't come here expecting boring buttons! 😆) 🪡 Do the final try-on and finished cape reveal 🤩 You can also find a very condensed version of the sewing process for this cape, along with my full ✨twinning 👯‍♀️✨ festival outfit reveal in my YouTube Shorts 🤗 Enjoy, and let me know what you think of this transformation in the comments! 😁🪄✨
