Developed by Opricovic & Tzeng, 1998. The basic concept of VIKOR method lies in defining the positive and the negative ideal points in the solution space. The TOPSIS method determines a solution with the shortest distance from the ideal solution and the farthest distance from the negative-ideal solution, but it does not consider the relative importance of these distances (Hwang and Yoon, 1981; Yoon, 1987).
