Maybe i missed this in history class because while the lack of it was not surprising, it's like something new that I learnt. Ancient Greek had three methods of punishment and it were fines, exile or execution. And while it had prison it was not like today. It was more like holding cells until fine was paid, the trial or execution were to come. They put more value in punishment rather than rehabilitation like how it's done today ~~~ Telemachus and Penelope no longer accept any apologies over how long it took him to get back as it was mostly outside his control ~~~ Ah yes, I love writing emotional scenes when I have no idea how it would even look in real life lmaooo ~~~ Did anyone notice how Odysseus says "I couldn't be happier to be called your father"? Telemachus was all time called Son Of Odysseus, but now his own dad calls himself Father of Telemachus and its like Ody gives his importance for Telemachus. For me it's like "I couldn't be happier to have you as my son" is more of "Telemachus, Son of Odysseus, the man who left the homeland for 20 years" - a title he's been called his whole life (without the years part) And it's another detail i love ~~~ I just can't imagine Ctimene being super happy about reunion of the royal family I mean She is happy for them She is But watching reunion of Telemachus and Odyssues she can't help but think She could have it She could have a child with her loved one, but he is dead She can't get this reunion ~~~ Also yes, i think fandom is putting ICHBW too much aside Like?? Bro how ridiculous it is for a person to love as much as Telemachus loves Odysseus a person who they don't know??
