Rules for getting Annual Increment and 10/20 years Service Benefit 1st Condition: If the date of joining the service is between 1st July to 1st January (i.e. July, August, September, October, November, December and January 1st), then the Annual Increment benefit will be available from 1st July, vide G.O. No. 181-SE(B)/5B-1/09 dated 08.10.2009 (Memorandum is given below) then he will get 10/20 years benefit from his own Joining Date. 2nd Condition: But if the date of joining is between 2nd January to 30th June (i.e. February, March, April, May, and June 1st), both the Annual Increment and 10/20 years benefit will be applicable from 1st July. It should be especially remembered that if you take the 10/20 years Benefit before, you will not get the Annual Increment that year, because after getting an Increment, the benefit of another Increment is applicable after a minimum of 6 (six) months, that is, there must be a minimum gap of 6 (six) months between the two Increments. Now an important point is that the date of Annual Increment of the said employee is 01.07.2021 and the date of 10 years Service Benefit is 20.08.2021, in this case, his Fractional Salary Bill will be in the month of August 2021 i.e. from 1.08.2021 to 31.08.2021 (31-days) with Annual Increment (since his Annual Increment has been implemented from 1st July 2021) and from 20.08.2021 to 31.08.2021 (12-days) with 10 years Service Benefit, the Gross Salary Bill will be Rs. 37,241/- with Double Benefit. Next month i.e. from September 2021, Double Benefit will continue. There will be no Fractional Salary, Gross Salary Bill will be Rs. 37,875/-. That is, this will happen only in the month of joining the employee's service (1st July to 1st January). But if an employee's Annual Increment and 10 years Service Benefit are on 1st July 2021, then Double Benefit will be applicable. There is no question of Fractional Salary. Their joining month should be (from 2nd January, February, March, April, May, and June). Currently, all the salary related activities of the School Education Department (SED) are done on the i-OSMS Portal. In case of 10/20/18 years Service Benefit, the Portal automatically shows the concerned employee at the specified time. However, for 10/20/18 years Service Benefit, Primary Teachers usually have to make an application to the concerned Sub-Inspector of Schools (SI/S). High School employees have to apply to the Headmaster of the school. Pay Fixation for 10/20 years is not required in High School or Primary. Since the Level does not change here, only the Cell number changes, so no copy of the Fixation Form is required, but an entry for 10/20 years Service Benefit has to be made in the Service Book. In case of High School, a Managing Committee (MC) Resolution or Administrator Order for 10/20 years has to be made and the date of the meeting and resolution number have to be entered in the Service Book. The same rule applies to 18 years of High/Primary Teacher or Non-teaching Staff, but in the case of 18 years, a copy of the Fixation Form is very important, it is useful later, because in this case the Level is changing.
