Best pocket radio in 2024? XHDATA D-220 vs Retekess V115, Clooblut RD218, Tecsun R808, Raddy RF886

In this video, I compare five pocket radios: the XHDATA D-220, Retekess V115, Clooblut RD218, Tecsun R808 and Raddy RF886. I test each radio's performance in terms of sound quality and reception sensitivity. You can hear how these radios perform on Radio Romania International, 11815 kHz. The Tecsun R808 and the Retekess V116 have been around for some time, while the XHDATA D-220, Raddy RF886 and Clooblut RD218 were all released this year. All the radios use DSP chips, except the Tecsun R808, which is full analogue. It is the same as the Grundig Mini World 100 PE. Unfortunately, it is not available any more. All the radios have their strengths, but I think there is a clear winner. The XHDATA D-220 is sensitive with natural sound, the Retekess V115 is feature-rich with good sound. The Clooblut RD218 is very sensitive. The Tecsun R808 is full analogue. The Raddy RF886 has wide band coverage and a torch.
