The ceasefire deal that President Trump conjured as the reason for pulling back from invading Kharg island - the one that both sides have been giving wholly contradictory reports about - is now being flagged by mediators and Iranian political leaders as being very close. But it still seems as likely it could unravel completely, because the language and temperaments of both sides are still so far apart. The politics of the United Kingdom continues to disintegrate, with the new potential prime minister Andy Burnham showing what he's made of - it's not wholly encouraging.
