Manuel Carrasco: "Pueblo Salvaje I es un disco que enseña muchas cicatrices"
Manuel Carrasco releases Pueblo Salvaje I this Friday and came to present it on Cuerpos especiales. The singer shared all the details of the album with Eva Soriano and Nacho García, talked about his relationship with Jordi Évole, and exclusively revealed that he will have several collaborators at his concerts in La Cartuja, Seville. One of them begins with the letter E. #humor #music https://www.europafm.com/programas/cu... Manuel Carrasco has gotten a head start on the release of Pueblo Salvaje I, his new album arriving this Friday, May 29th, and stopped by Cuerpos especiales this Tuesday to present it. With his usual good humor and the connection he already has with Eva Soriano and Nacho García, the singer began by explaining why Pueblo Salvaje I follows Pueblo Salvaje II, which he released in 2025. "The plan was to complicate things," he said with a laugh. "I wanted to end with the beginning, like the prequels to good movies... There could be a third and fourth part, I don't know yet, and a part zero," he added. "I don't think so, but there could be a new saga in five years following this theme," said the singer, who admits that this is a concept he likes and that gives him plenty to explore. "It's like a tree, the part you see and the root underneath. This Part I is like the root; it has a bit more essence but within the same concept. I encourage people to listen to it because it has its merits," he added. When he released the previous album, Manuel Carrasco was certain there would be this first part. "I had it all planned out," the singer continued, explaining that this album features a collaboration with Jordi Évole. The journalist wrote the press release, in which he states: "I approached him like a sleepwalker, drawn by an inexplicable force..." With these words, he refers to the first time he heard Évole perform live, which led him to record an episode of "Lo de Évole" with him in London. "The truth is, meeting him was wonderful," he said of Évole, with whom he admits he got along very well. During the recording of the program, Manuel Carrasco witnessed Évole's cataplexy firsthand. "It's really intense, I didn't know it was so severe. It happened to him constantly," he told Eva and Nacho, explaining that he had to help him on several occasions. The essence of Manuel Carrasco in 'Pueblo Salvaje I' The journalist also says in the article that Pueblo Salvaje I is "an album you can listen to from beginning to end, that takes you on a journey, that shows you who Manuel is, that it's an album that contains many albums within it, and that it's an album that captivates you." "I would say it's an album that reveals many scars and a side of ourselves that's harder to show in our daily lives. It's an album with a special sensitivity, with light and shadows, and I think musically it's quite expansive," he continued. Now that he's preparing his upcoming live shows, Manuel Carrasco has realized that throughout his career he's created very different songs, both musically and thematically: "And this is an album that encompasses a small summary of everything I've done in my career." "It's like the closing of an era. I've expanded my horizons, exploring paths I didn't usually take, and creatively it's been liberating and I've enjoyed it." Four concerts in Seville and one in Madrid Manuel Carrasco has been performing for over 20 years and has countless concerts under his belt. His shows attract fans of all generations, from a six-year-old boy who sent a message to the program, to a 100-year-old woman named Conchita, whom he met in 2025. "It's incredible. You notice it when you go to the concerts; whole families come... it's beautiful," the singer said, before talking about "Cambiar," his collaboration with La Pucci, which he describes as "a song born from pain, from the wounds that force us to transform in order to move forward." -------------------------------- Follow all the latest music news, interviews with artists and bands, acoustic performances, trivia, and all the new releases from Europa FM on our channel. 👉 Subscribe! / europafmoficial // CONNECT WITH THE EUROPA FM UNIVERSE // 📱 Take Europa FM with you wherever you go, download our app: iOS: https://apps.apple.com/es/app/europa-...
