Meet Korea's Dancer Choreographer Ahn Ji-hyung is famous for highlighting social issues and messages through her artistry. This time, she presents a piece reminiscent of a painting - "Body Arirang." The piece depicts Korea's distinct four seasons and the circulating energy of nature from a woman's perspective. PerformArts M's Choice The avant-garde dance company Rufxxx explores the human senses without vision. Everything disappears when we close our eyes, however, our eyes become more sensitive to light, and other senses also get heightened. That leads us to a new dreamy and sensitive world. Starting at the point of disappearing, this is "Black Under" by Rufxxx. Young and challenging dancers Hwang Tae-in and Noh Dong-hwan liken the creative process to driving at a speed of 5 miles per hour. It's extremely slow but full of challenges. It's also a journey of discovering what we often overlook and a magical moment of creating something out of nothing. Together, the piece, "5Mile Life" captures the two dancers' relentless passion for dance. Korea's Dance Company The Bereishit Dance Company hopes of highlighting the beginning of everything and offering new sensations using uncomfortable and strange elements. Through the piece "人_Balance & Imbalance," they depict dynamic and uncomfortable relationships where people have to adjust to each other, as opposed to calm and settled relationships, as well as the harmony between sound and body movements. 한국의 무용수를 만나다 주로 사회적 이슈와 메시지를 담은 작품을 선보였던 안무가 안지형이 이번에는 회화와 같은 작품을 선보인다. 안지형 안무, 출연의 '몸, 아리랑!'은 생명이 지는 겨울에서 봄으로, 울창한 생명력을 품은 여름에서 다시 가을, 겨울로 돌아가 봄을 준비하는 사계의 모습을 여성의 시선으로 풀어냈다. 퍼폼아츠 엠의 선택 눈을 감았을 때 드는 감정을 몸짓으로 표현한 Rufxxx의 'Black Under'. 인간의 원초적 감정에서 점차 감각이 마비되는 상태까지. 다양한 소리와 움직임을 이용하여 10개의 블랙으로 풀어냈다. 황태인, 노동환이 카페에 앉아 커피와 함께 이야기를 나누며 시작하는 '5mile life.' 두 무용가가 일상 속 카페에서 작품을 구상, 기획하는 과정을 안무로 표현했다. 시속 5mile처럼 느리고 더디지만 끊임없이 끝없이 도전하는 그들의 춤에 대한 열정을 담아냈다. 한국의 무용단 새로운 시도를 즐기는 '브레시트 무용단'이 이번에는 소리와 움직임의 교감에 도전했다. 그동안 무용에서 '음악'은 단순히 보조수단으로만 사용해왔지만 '인(人)_조화와 불균형'에서는 인간의 가장 기본적인 감정표현 수단인 소리와 몸짓의 조화를 감상할 수 있다.
