El nuevo vocero de Milei y la tensión en Medio Oriente. Audios #DeAcáEnMás
Javier Milei, at the Flag Day ceremony in Rosario, championed Manuel Belgrano as a precursor of economic liberalism. "By family mandate, he was a lawyer, but his passions were economics and the dissemination of ideas that were absolutely novel for the time, such as those of Adam Smith," he stated. He added: "He understood that wealth did not come from privileges granted by those in power, but from work, production, exchange, and the initiative of individuals. That is why he can be considered the first Argentine economic liberal intellectual." Victoria Villarruel, after the ceremony in Rosario, was emphatic in her remarks regarding the displays of support for Manuel Adorni during the event. "It was a patriotic event, not an event to support Adorni," she pointed out, and emphasized: "No one is more at odds with Belgrano's values than Adorni." She concluded: "Adorni's presence was completely out of place." Axel Kicillof participated in the flag-swearing ceremony in San Jorge and defended national sovereignty and public education. "We know there's a very strong attack against public education. There's a dispute, a debate about national sovereignty," he stated. He added, "We're here to tell anyone who's confused or doesn't know, that this flag is ours, that it represents our sovereignty. And that we have pledged allegiance solely and exclusively to that flag, the light blue and white." In an archived July 2018 interview on A24 with Luis Novaresio, Milei harshly criticized several liberal economists, including Adrián Ravier. "I didn't just study Keynes superficially, I studied Keynes seriously, not like the charlatans Carlos Rodríguez and the Cachanoskys or the Raviers who talk about Keynes without having read him," he declared. He added, "All the quotes they use are quotes from liberals about Keynes because they haven't read him." Adrián Ravier, in an archived May 6 interview on LN+ with Paulino Rodrigues, discussed his connection to Milei and his rise to power. "I have a friendship with Javier Milei that predates his fame as an economist and goes back to before he entered politics," he stated. He explained: "I've been a liberal economist my whole life; I've been studying liberal ideas for thirty years. I wanted to lend a hand in La Pampa, partly due to pressure from my former university students who asked me to get involved, and partly because of this invitation from the president." Abelardo De la Espriella celebrated his victory in the Colombian elections with an emotionally charged speech. "National dignity has triumphed, the republic has triumphed, and hope has triumphed," he proclaimed. He added: "Tonight is a wonderful night in which democracy shone and Colombia demonstrated its greatness once again. This is the night that marks the beginning of a new chapter in the nation's history. The night a new era begins. A change of order. The homeland! A miracle!" Donald Trump, on The Axios Show, asserted that it is necessary to keep Benjamin Netanyahu "sane" and that Israel would have been annihilated without his intervention. "If it weren't for Donald Trump, Israel would have been annihilated," he maintained. And when the journalist asked him about his relationship with Netanyahu, he replied, "It's good, but we have to keep him a little, uh, sane." When asked if he could prevent an Israeli attack on Lebanon, he was categorical: "Yes, I will. They have a lot of respect for me and they do what I tell them." Netanyahu countered the rumors circulating about his relationship with Trump and defended the autonomy of both leaders. "In the United States, they say that President Trump does everything I ask him to do. And in Israel, they say that I do everything he wants. Well, neither of those statements is true," he affirmed.
