UK - British Rail in the 1980's - Buxton
As this is my 250th video, I thought I should put on something a little bit special. This is the first of a four part series covering freight and passenger operations in the Peak district during 1989. The footage here was taken during weekend operations and unusually, stone trains are routed on the former LNWR route from Buxton via Chapel-En-Le Frith due to engineering works. This should bring back happy memories for many class 37 fans and I hope you will enjoy this trip down memory lane. Its also a reminder of how smokey the old 1st generation DMU's were!
