My first posting with a new camera and professional studio mike. Rosa Ponselle singing Ernani Involami from Verdi's opera Ernani for Victor in 1927. An astonishing performance and great sound. And yet, I've played her records for relatives of mine who saw her many times in New York in the 20's and they said that the records pale in comparison to her live performances! I believe that she is the greatest singer this country ever produced.
