Venice - Walking tour Cannaregio , Castello , San Marco , Dorsoduro , Santa Croce , Italy

Venice is one of the most romantic cities, now we will see it together on a walking tour. We start the walking tour at Venezia Piazzale Roma, we will continue through the Cannaregio district, next we will go through the Castello district through which we will reach the famous Piazza San Marco. The way back will continue through the San Marco district, then we will cross the Ponte dell'Accademia into the Dorsoduro district, and we will end our tour at Piazzale Roma in the Santa Croce district. There are 417 bridges and 177 canals in Venice. Houses are numbered according to neighborhoods, not according to streets as is common. There are approximately 350 gondolas and about 400 gondoliers in Venice. The boats have an average length of 11 meters. Houses are sinking at a rate of 1-2 mm per year. The city stands on 118 islands and oak stilts. It is illegal to feed pigeons in Piazza San Marco. There are about 500 gardens in the city, mainly in the courtyards of houses. The narrowest street is Calle Varisco, with a width of 53 cm. It consists of six main districts: Santa Croce, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, San Marco, Castello and Giudecca. The newer part on the mainland is called Mestre. The islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello are inherent to Venice; as well as boats, bridges and a carnival.
