Then the work begins for Julius, Stella, and the team from the Oberwiesenthal Mountain Rescue Service. We accompanied them for two days, along with Pastor Chris Schlicht. What motivates Stella and Julius to spend their weekend in sub-zero temperatures in the snow to save lives? We show you the daily life of the mountain rescue service: from ski accidents to professional Akia rescues in dense fog. In Germany, around 12,000 people work for the mountain rescue service to save us if we have an accident, fall, or get lost.
