Working with the FTdx5000MP Noise Blanker

I’ve been wrestling with power line noise for more than a year. Georgia Power was here last week and they thought they got ride of it all. It did seem quiet, until last night. It just so happens that we also had a hard freeze. So today I’m hearing horrendous noise on 20 through 10 meters. I suppose the extreme cold affected some hardware on the pole. I drove around and listened with my HF mobile. I have determined it to be a pole that was worked on last year, at my next door neighbor’s house. So, this gave me the opportunity/need to put the noise blanker in the FTdx5000MP through the paces. I hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful.
