Does it sound like a holiday paradise? Well... This place has its pros and cons, so it's worth knowing exactly what to expect. If you're going here, prepare yourself for a few surprises - not necessarily the best ones. Location - Sea views, but... The Hydramis Palace Hotel is located in Georgioupolis, between Chania (40 km) and Rethymno (15 km). This is a great location for those who want to explore Crete and don't like crowds. ❌ But watch out for the beach! If you dream of soft sand under your feet, you'll be disappointed. The beach is pebbly, and the sand only begins in the water. Entering the sea can be uncomfortable, so it's definitely worth taking protective footwear. Rooms – Comfortable, but not all… The hotel offers spacious rooms with balconies, but not everyone will have a beautiful sea view! ✔ Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibar, satellite TV – standard equipment is fine. ✔ Rooms in the main building and bungalows – spacious and comfortable. ❌ But watch out for rooms in the basement! You may get a room without a view, and instead of the sound of the waves you will hear noise from the back. Pools and lack of sports attractions ✔ Main pool with a sea view – this is a definite plus. ✔ Paddling pool for children – a useful option for families with toddlers. ❌ You will not find a gym or water sports here. If you were counting on an active holiday – unfortunately, this hotel does not offer such attractions. ❌ There is no tennis court either. Gastronomy – Food OK, but the bar disappoints ✔ Main restaurant – buffet offers Greek and international cuisine, fresh fruit, local cheeses and oils every day. ✔ Beach tavern – perfect place for lunch with a sea view. ✔ Theme nights – Greek delicacies, souvlaki, seafood. ❌ But the bar is a real disaster! If you like well-prepared drinks, you'd better look for another hotel. Local alcohols in All Inclusive are watered down and of poor quality, and the cocktails have nothing in common with those you can get in good hotels. Entertainment – ​​Something's missing… ✔ Live music – but not every day, so you won't always find something interesting. ❌ No evening show – if you were counting on animations and performances, unfortunately not here ❌ No SPA – although on the website of some travel agencies you can find information about a wellness center, in reality there is no SPA here.
