Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Soundtrack Medley piano arr. Animenz, Garritan CFX / Yamaha N1X

Soundtrack Medley from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, music by Evan Call, piano arranged by ‪@Animenzzz‬, played by Richard Yang on Yamaha N1X with Garritan CFX VST. This is the latest Animenz release in a while. I did not particularly like this at first and was expecting some sort of epic arpeggio section and got none. But after listening a few more times, I became totally hooked. I always love his arrangements that tell a story. I ended up recording this on Day 8. I recorded the NieR Automata Medley on Day 5, just as a reference on difficulty level. This piece has since become one of my favorites! Overall, the piece is quite playable. Though not easy, it is slightly easier than it sounds. I had a very strange Déjà vu feeling when working on the piece. I think it's because it employs a very wide range of techniques, many of which I probably had to practice a lot on when I was a kid. So this is kinda like nostalgia for me in a slightly different sense (the familiar feeling of practicing certain techniques/passages). I should note that among all the Animenz pieces I recorded to date, this one is the most demanding on pedaling skills. Final note on overall difficulty, this piece has fewer "risky" passages than most of the other difficult pieces, but it involves more different types of techniques than most. It ended up slightly lower than I originally thought on my Animenz playlist. DISCLAIMER: I’m not trying to copy Animenz or anything.
