Join us on our latest weekend road trip as we drive our Mahindra Thar Roxx from Bengaluru to the beautiful hills of Coonoor, passing through the iconic Bandipur National Park and Mudumalai Tiger Reserve before reaching the Nilgiris. Our journey takes us through dense forests, scenic highways, winding mountain roads, and the famous Ooty hairpin bends, offering breathtaking valley views at every turn. Along the way, we were lucky enough to spot deer, peacocks, wild hens, and even a mongoose in their natural habitat, making this drive even more memorable. For this trip, we stayed at the beautiful GNM Hill Top Villas in Ketti near Coonoor, a peaceful hilltop retreat surrounded by lush greenery and stunning Nilgiri views. The property offers comfortable rooms and villas, complimentary breakfast, ample parking, and easy access to both Coonoor and Ooty, making it an ideal stay for families and road trippers. This was also a special drive for our red Mahindra Thar Roxx, which had its very first DPF regeneration just a day before the trip at around 19,000 km. The Roxx performed confidently throughout the journey, effortlessly handling highways, forest roads, and the steep Ooty hairpin bends. While we thoroughly enjoyed the drive and its bold road presence, our parents felt that the ride comfort was not as comfortable as our Mahindra ScorpioN, especially during the long stretches.
