Strange Setup: ThyssenKrupp MRL Mk1 elevator at the National Railway Museum in York

[Recorded 3/4/18] That's right, keypad floor selection for a lift going between only two floors. No idea why this setup was used on this one as the glass ThyssenKrupp in the main museum area does not use this setup. This is still a very neat elevator with the awesome chime! BAA-BAAAAAAAA! I do love that chime. The only thing I wish was different about this one is that I would have liked the inside buttons to beep and the lift to have a voice, but those are just little things really. Notice how there is a metal plate covering up buttons 2-9 on the keypad - I think there might have been people trying to go to floors that didn't exist simply because they didn't realise that only G/0 and 1 actually existed, as is evident on the selected floor display just above the buttons. Also notice on the final journey down how 0 didn't select first time - the keypad selection system can be glitchy at times but is weird and fun to use. :P If you enjoyed the video then please consider tapping the like button!
