Serious damage may occur. •Raise vehicle only on jack stands or on a vehicle lift. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (1) REMOVING THE STOCK RADIATOR 1. Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake. As an extra precaution, use a wheel chock to prevent the truck from rolling while the radiator is being installed. 2. Begin by removing the upper cooling fan shroud, which is secured by seven 10mm bolts. First remove the three 10mm bolts on the top of the radiator support. 3. remove the four 10mm bolts securing the upper cooling fan shroud to the lower cooling fan shroud. 4. Now you can fully remove the upper cooling fan shroud from the engine bay. 5. Position your drain pan under the radiator drain plug and loosen the plug. Drain all the coolant from the radiator. Removing the radiator overflow cap will help increase the speed of this process. 6. On the passenger side of the radiator, remove the coolant reservoir hose and the ancillary hose. 7. Disconnect the upper radiator hose. 8. If your vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, disconnect the two transmission cooler lines located on the passenger end of the radiator. 9. Unbolt and remove the upper radiator mounting brackets. These are secured with two 10mm bolts on each side. 10, Disconnect the lower radiator hose. 11. Remove the radiator from the engine bay. (2) INSTALLING THE MISHIMOTO RADIATOR 1. First place the Mishimoto radiator into position. 2. Reinstall the lower radiator hose. 3. Install the upper radiator mounting brackets. It is easiest to thread in the outermost bolt first, followed by lining up and installing the inner bolts. 4. If your vehicle is equipped wiht an automatic transmission, reinstall the transmission cooler lines into the Mishimoto radiator. 5. Reconnect the upper radiator hose. 6. Reinstall the coolant overflow hose and the ancillary hose o the passenger side of the radiator. 7. Place the upper cooling fan shroud into position. 8. Install the four 10mm bolts securing the iupper cooling fan shroud to the lower shroud. 9. Install the three 10mm bolts holding the upper fan shroud to the radiator support. 10. Now we are ready to refill the cooling system. Be sure to use a 50/50 mix of Dex-Cool antifreeze (or equivalent) and distilled water. Fill the system using a funnel in the coolant reservoir. 11. Start the vehicle and turn the heat on high. Let the vehicle run for 10-15 minutes while you check for any leaks. You make need to top off the fluid during this time. If you have a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission, check the fluid levels and refill accordingly.
