High Ankle Sprain Release - Motion Specific Release

High Ankle Sprain Release - Motion Specific Release - In this video, Dr. Abelson demonstrates how to treat a high ankle sprain. A high ankle sprain is when you tear the high ankle ligaments that connect the tibia to the fibula. These ligaments are known as syndesmosis. High ankle sprains are often much more severe than common ankle sprains. Fortunately, most of these sprains can be treated with conservative care (non-operative). Initially, these injuries may require splinting and icing, and often crutches are needed to assist with ambulation. Becoming proficient in Motion Specific Release (MSR) requires more than just watching videos or reading articles—although these are valuable starting points. True mastery involves immersive, hands-on training that deepens your understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and refined tactile skills. MSR isn’t a skill you can gain overnight; it’s a journey of focused practice and collaboration with mentors and peers, transforming knowledge into expertise. The techniques you see here are just a preview. To unlock the full power of MSR and achieve real results for your patients, join our MSR Pro community.
