A recently discovered Bible has confirmed a miracle in the Quran. As Muslims, we all know the story of Jesus (peace be upon him), who, as a baby, spoke in the cradle and in his mother's arms. Most of us Muslims are unaware that this story is not found in the New Testament. Not a single Gospel—not Matthew, not Mark, not Luke—does contain this information. However, as Muslims, we know that the Quran mentions this in three different places. The story of Jesus, when he blew into the birds and they came to life. Again, as Muslims, you'll be surprised that this story is not found in the canonical Christian Gospels—they don't exist. For a long time, Christians mocked them, saying, "Look at these Muslims with their strange, outlandish stories." About 150 years ago, in the middle of the desert in Egypt, an interesting monastery was discovered. The body of a monk dating from the 4th century AD was discovered inside. The monk belonged to a now extinct Christian sect. Scrolls, many scrolls, were found in the tomb. These scrolls contained a Gospel that is not one of the four canonical Gospel texts. You may know that Constantine and many others destroyed all other Gospel texts in 325 AD, and there were many before that. Constantine ordered four to be selected. These became canonical, while the rest were destroyed. Today, most of them have been destroyed, but from time to time, we come across something from the ancient era. This was one of the most important finds – one of the Gospels discovered was the Gospel of Saint Thomas (the Gospel of Thomas), which is now available on Amazon; you can Google it yourself. It was one of the lost Gospels. The Gospel of Saint Thomas contains both of these stories: the story of Jesus speaking as an infant, and the story of the birds coming to life. It's astonishing that for 13 centuries, not a single Christian community knew of these stories. Not a single one. They appear only in the Quran. I'll give you a specific example; you can try and buy this book, "The Gospel of Saint Thomas."
