Shirushi - Sword Art Online II ED3 [Piano]

Sheet music → https://mymusic.st/animenzzz/62792 Although this song is only used in 6 episodes as the third ending song in Sword Art Online II, it still remains one of my favorite SAO endings, because the incredible vocal performance by LiSA is simply unforgettable. I am getting the chills every time I am hearing the raw power of LiSA's voice in the chorus part and since I actually watched one of LiSA's live performances in the past, I was completely amazed by her ability to sing the high note (in the chorus) with such an passion. She made an emotional song even more emotional - it was really amazing. I played my piano arrangement of Shirushi quite a few times in my Animenz live concerts and this is basically another "finalized" version, based on my concert improvisations. (similar to my "God knows..." video from last week) I was polishing some parts in the arrangement until the flow of the music "just feels right". My earlier version of this arrangement was lacking the nuanced voicings of the melodies and occasionally it became even too cluttered because of excessive ornamentations or whenever the bass notes became too loud. Moderation is the key I guess. You might notice that this arrangements have some parts, where the only the bare minimum voicing is being played. Since my "Secret Base" arrangement two weeks ago, I really like the idea of "music taking a breath", because the listener has a the chance to focus again to the melody. To maximize the impact of the final chorus, I was making full use of the piano and finally introduced some fast scales in the right hand, playing the melody in a seemingly improvised style while still retaining the original spirit of the song. Well, that's it for this week's upload! I still don't know what I am going to upload next, but it will definitely be another nostalgia nostalgia song from 2008-2014, since I have watched the most anime during this time period.
