The long-running legal battle between Ollywood superstar & former MP Anubhav Mohanty and his ex-wife Varsha Priyadarshini has now reached the Supreme Court of India. In a major development, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Odisha Government and Varsha Priyadarshini, asking them to file their responses within 4 weeks. Anubhav Mohanty had approached the apex court seeking to quash the criminal dowry harassment case filed against him at the Purighat Police Station in Cuttack. Earlier, Anubhav had moved the Orissa High Court to dismiss the case, but the High Court rejected his plea and ordered him to face the trial. Challenging this verdict, Anubhav filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court. While their high-profile divorce and domestic violence cases have already concluded, this criminal case remains active.
