Gizzard Shad {Catch Clean Cook} Bait or food??
The plan was to go after giant alligator gar. We fished for hours and only ended up with a gar about three feet long. Getting a bunch of bites and just not being able to land them.We decided to pack everything up and go throw the cast net a few times to stock up on shad for future fishing trips. We ended up catching some monster gizzard shad. I have never eaten shad before and I have never heard of anyone eating them.
