Led by Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, approximately 120 soldiers from Charlie Company of the 13th Kumaon Regiment bravely defended the snow-capped mountains of Rezang La (Ladakh) to thwart an attack by thousands of Chinese troops. Primary Mission: Indian troops must defend the Chushul region, which houses a strategic airstrip. If China succeeds in capturing it, the entire Ladakh and Jammu-Kashmir region is threatened. Impossible Battle: 120 brave soldiers face off against thousands of Chinese troops in extreme temperatures and high altitudes. They fought to the death to prevent the occupation.
